Brooklyn Bridge covered end to end with 32,650+ OWS marchers. Bloomberg insists Occupy has failed. What a loser.

Iconic Cop of the Day: We’ve seen quite a few instantly iconic Occupy Wall Street snapshots this week, but this one by Johnny Milano of retired Philadelphia PD captain Ray Lewis being arrested during yesterday’s Day of Action protests in NYC takes the cake (and shares it).
Capt. Lewis was charged with one count of “violation of local law, and two counts of disorderly conduct including disrupting traffic and refusing to move on.” He was reportedly released last night and will resume protesting today.

Today, when super committee Senator John Kyl went to a posh DC restaurant for a fundraising breakfast with donors, he was met with a surprise: scores of concerned citizens surrounded his table and filled the balconies to give Senator Kyl a wake-up call and a message: “It’s time to stop protecting the wealthiest 1% in our economy at the expense of the rest of us!”

think-progress:

Early this morning, hundreds of demonstrators are marching on Wall Street, taking over the Financial District with mass protests.
Police have moved in and started to arrest many of the demonstrators, who are blocking Wall Street employees from getting to work and shutting down intersections.
